Student PSR is a forum for medical students to get involved in their community and find what issues draw them, as well as a resource to help students tackle issues they already care about.  Recognizing that medical students have a limited amount of free time, PSR offers a variety of levels of participation in an effort to encourage students to do what they can for what they feel passionate about.  Students are able to collaborate with colleagues throughout the city to improve the health and well-being of the community.  Student PSR gives the opportunity for leadership development in a setting more diverse than that of a single medical school.  Finally, through networking with physicians and other professionals involved in PSR, students can learn how to continue to be an advocate for the community throughout their careers.

Philadelphia Student PSR’s efforts have resulted in the Soul of Medicine Program, and a series of events which fall under the banner of Activism and Intra-school Activities.
